More than 60,000 building professionals as well as the general public visited the recent EcoBuild exhibition held at the Excel Center in London. the theme of this year's exhibition was exploring new possibilities to create a sustainable future and the Maharishi Vastu booth drew large, enthusiastic crowds.
Maharishi Vastu experts John Renwick and Henry Brighouse presented the concepts of Vastu city planning as laid out in the recently published i Book, Vastu City Planning (see previous blog entry) and how the revival of this ancient system of city planning and design is really the most complete form of sustainable living.

Recently, a couple from Thailand finished building their Maharishi Vastu home in Bangkok. When the house was about 75% complete their vedic architect visited the site and asked them how they planned to build the vastu fence.
They were intending to go for an economical wooden fence and he pointed out to them that a more substantial fence of either stone or brick was always preferred and would bring an even greater sense of security. They took his advice and built a brick wall for their fence.
The area of Bangkok where they live has been hit by the recent, devastating floods and now they are very glad they made this investment.
