Two new, ground-breaking books
We are pleased to announce two new, ground-breaking books. The first, Enlightened Real Estate, written by successful real estate investor Barry B. Scherr, includes a special section by Maharishi Vastu® architect Jon Lipman.
Enlightened Real Estate challenges the contemporary wisdom as to the purpose of real estate – this book proposes that the built environment should re-establish the lost connection between inner consciousness and the world around us. For so many of us, despite major advances in technology, life is bogged down by inconvenience.
We are crowding together in increasingly urban environments, rushing around, battling traffic, eating on the run, and feeling as though there is never enough time. These conditions are symptomatic of an inadequate built environment. We are becoming more alert, aware, and connected, yet the environment is lagging far behind.
This book presents a new way to live in and think about the built environment.

The second book, written By Master Surveyor Roger Audet, is Measuring the World for Global Reconstruction. It explains how Maharishi Vastu architecture uses the global grid of latitude and longitude as the basis of town and city planning according to the principle of cardinal direction. This grid, known to the ancient Vedic civilization of India, is used in vaastu to create a master grid for the whole world.

In order to understand the significance of the global grid, the book chronicles the evolution of the concepts and techniques of global survey by civilizations throughout the ages. Historical milestones such as the creation of astronomical observatories and estimations of the size of the globe by the ancient Vedic civilization; the calculation of the circumference of the earth by the Greek mathematician Eratosthenes; the invention of the marine chronometer by John Harrison that resolved the famous longitude problem around 1760; the creation of the ‘metre’ by the new French Republic of 1792; the techniques of map-making from antiquity to the modern time; and many more give insight into the gradual evolution of our understanding of the earth’s shape and size.
These key developments of measuring the world from ancient times to modern are shown to support the techniques and mathematics of right orientation used in Maharishi Vastu architecture for planning auspicious buildings, towns and cities.
