Maharishi Vastu building — the Dang School

This beautiful new Maharishi Vastu building is the Dang School, located in the western region of Nepal.

Maharishi Vastu building is the Dang School

All the students and faculty practice the Transcendental Meditation® technique. There are now a total of 579 students with just over 200 of them age eleven or older and 379 in the lower grades. The school has a total of 35 teachers and staff. Before shifting to the new Maharishi Vastu building, there were 350 students but within a week of opening at the new location, they created a district record by adding 250 students to their roster. No other school in the district has recorded such an increase in a one-week period ever. The Faculty and Staff feel it is the powerful effect of Maharishi Vastu architecture that is bringing this success to their school and its students.

The shining, serene faces of the students demonstrate another powerful reason to build schools and universities around the world according to these principles! To see the building process from start to finish click here.

Maharishi Vastu architecture Survey Results

We greatly appreciate your responses to our recent survey!  The results were valuable to us, and they tell us that you have a great desire to hear more about Maharishi Vastu architecture.

Your 300-plus responses have come from all over the globe. What you asked most for are; 1) more knowledge of the principles of MVA,  2) help with the building process and guidance with building materials,  3) financing and affordability,  4) how to locate Vastu architects and communities.  We will be addressing each of these areas in upcoming issues of our e-news.

Quite a few of you wrote in that you would like more information and assistance on the home building process. We understand that most people are not familiar with it, and we want you to know that we are happy to give you as much guidance as you ask for throughout. One piece of advice no matter what size home you are planning to build: good construction plans are essential to a smooth process for both you and your builder.

We are investing our time now in areas that will save you time in the building process. Concepts many of you expressed an interest in, such as modular-friendly designs, tiny homes and micro housing units, and turnkey communities, are getting a lot of our attention. We’re also planning to offer you more support and education in alternative and off-grid energy systems and permaculture. We are conducting surveys to show us where the potential for Vastu communities is greatest so we can interest builder/developers in creating Vastu communities.

Many of you asked for more information on building materials. Because using natural and non-toxic materials is a key principle of Maharishi Vastu architecture, we give extensive guidance on this to both you and your builder in your consultation.  If you desire a great overview beforehand, consider taking our on line course, Vedic Green. For registration details and a course description go to http://www.maharishivastu.org/ and click in the lower left box: take a course on line.

In our last e-news we showcased a prototype community that is moving forward in Fairfield, Iowa. Once this community plan is complete, we’ll have a template that can be applied to many cities. We hope that its affordable homes, situated in ideal Vastu communities, will make living in Vastu much easier.

If you want to build a larger, single-family home in the US we recommend that you call us. If you’re interested in living in a MVA community, be sure to let us know. Getting together with like-minded adults and families is a big step in bringing Vastu to your area. We now have Maharishi Vastu architects around the globe who would be happy to bring your vision to life.  If you missed the posts on our facebook page showcasing the new Vastu architects, then be sure and check it out: https://www.facebook.com/MaharishiVastu

We consider what we do a service for educating everyone on the value of Maharishi Vastu architecture—we believe that getting people into nourishing,  supportive Vastu homes is how we can best serve humanity and the planet. We want every one of you to live in Vastu, so please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can help!
