Have you considered living in a Maharishi Vastu Community? You should. It is a truly special experience...

‘Coherence,’ ‘protection’ and’ harmony’ are the most-often used terms to describe living in a Maharishi Vastu home. If you include the experience of living in a planned Maharishi Vastu community, the powerful effect of living in a Vastu home is multiplied many times by the proximity of other natural law based structures that provide harmony, well being and much more. “The whole is greater than the sum of the parts” becomes a classic description of this experience.

Though it’s true that Maharishi Vastu buildings have been mostly single-family homes to date, builders have also provided townhomes, apartments and condominiums. As this is a growing trend in housing in general, it is not surprising that in the community of North Campus Village, in Fairfield, Iowa, the last two phases of its expansion include an extensive collection of townhouses.

North Campus Village, on the north edge of the Maharishi University of Management campus, is already the world’s largest community of Maharishi Vastu homes and it continues to grow quickly.

The twenty-one townhouse buildings in Phase 5 were completed in 2018. Fifty more units will be built over the next three years in the newest section, Phase 6 (see photo), and when that phase is completed North Campus Village will encompass a total of 180 Maharishi Vastu residences.

From an early resident in North Campus Village: “I feel safer and more nourished by this community than anywhere else I have lived. We were the first in our section, with empty fields around us. Then the first new house went up nearby, and I thought, “Oh no,” since having that open space was nice. But when someone moved in, I felt another bit of consciousness added. Now every time there’s a new house, I’m thrilled.”

The Maharishi Vastu principles of orientation, proportion, and placement guide the process of layout and planning for a town or city, just as they do in the design and construction of a single Maharishi Vastu building.

A former attorney from Long Island and his wife, who have lived in their North Campus Village townhome for more than two years, relate, “The experience is remarkable… From the beginning we noticed a sense of not being confined. It was like the open, relaxing, joyful feeling you have when you are in the presence of the beauty of nature. We find that our thinking and decisions flow more easily and always result in good progress. The home is like a dear friend supporting us at all times.”

A mother, with a family including three children says, “the quality of my sleep has been exceptional. The experience of night approaching is interesting. Around 9 pm, it’s like there’s an energy that just pushes me to sleep. I can’t even keep my eyes open unless I really fight it. My sleep is very smooth, and even on the nights I don’t get enough sleep, I still wake up feeling like the quality of rest was good.”

Phase 5 of NCV totalled $7.5 million dollars in construction, which is having a large impact on the town of Fairfield. The city is so pleased with the project that it provided assistance in getting further government tax incentives for Phase 6.

These incentives permit the townhouses to be sold below market price. And, the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce gave Vastu Partners and DRB Contracting Inc. its economic impact award for 2018.
