Vastu Development in France In the Brahmasthan of France an ideal site has been found for a residential peace community. As described in their brochure, it has a feeling of freedom, with 180 degree view of gentle rolling hills. The project will consist of 33 lots, with a first phase of development of 10 lots to begin in 18 months. On the first 10 lots will be two apartment buildings, seven individual homes and a place for group flying. A feasibility study and budget have been completed for the first phase and they are actively seeking investors, home buyers and renters. Vastu Garden Community in Scotland A unique piece of land has been found in Edinburgh for a Maharishi Peace Colony, just 20 minutes north from the heart of the city. On this site within the protection of 500 year-old stone walls, the garden will initially contain a flying hall and about a dozen Vastu homes. A further 20 homes will be situated on beautiful land adjoining the walled garden, with excellent views over the Firth of Forth. There is ample space for organic agriculture: fruit trees and bushes, and a vegetable and herb garden. An original Victorian glass house is to be restored to provide a working environment for organic produce year-round, and a centre for the Maharishi Vedic Organic approach to horticulture. ABC’s Nightline Features Maharishi Vastu Fortune-Creating homes and Maharishi Vedic City were featured in a great segment of ABC Nightline, Monday, July 5th. ABC’s summary of the segment includes the following introduction to Maharishi Vastu: "Just like the organs in the human body, there is a right place for different kinds of functions within a building," Lipman said. "And so, a kitchen is typically in one location. A living room in a house is typically in another location. . . The results are that, families find that their lives are improved, that there's greater family harmony, that there is greater financial success, there's greater happiness," said Lipman. The Vigmostads [a family profiled in the segment] live in a Vedic house, and seem like happy customers. The Purpose of a Vastu Fence One of the primary functions of Maharishi Vastu is to protect its residents from outside negative influences. And not only is this experienced in the house or office, the Vastu fence itself performs this function and everything within it is protected. There have been dramatic cases of forest fires stopping at the fence and going around the Vastu property and continuing on. But on a more subtle level, a feeling of security and comfort is created. This is the most common experience upon moving into Vastu homes, there is a continuous awareness of protection and security.
