Hurricane Irene has left the eastern portion of the US but not without substantial damage to property. This was a massive storm that carried high winds and torrential rain. In addition, the storm center spread out over hundreds of miles.
A recently completed Maharishi Vastu home in Branford is situated on the Connecticut coastline just a block from the ocean.
As you can see from the photos in the album we created. The damage to the neighborhood, both from flooding and wave action, was extensive. An entire tree was uprooted and landed on a neighbor’s porch next door.
The Maharishi vastu house, its fence and its yard remain pristine and untouched.
The Vastu homeowner related her experience in these words: “I felt totally confident that our house would be ok even though this was a 100 Year Storm because, the day before I could feel the house powering up....it was really quite amazing. In both 2005 and 2007, hurricanes hit the Houston area, the storm in 2005 was Hurricane Rita, which was characterized as very destructive.
